2024 Young Teen Talk

Young Teen Talk is a light hearted and interactive health and sexuality program developed by CHI (Communicating Health Initiatives) and is presented by a registered nurse/midwife. This is interactive and fun program has very relevant information for students and provides an excellent opportunity for students to ask questions and to discuss a range of health and sexuality subjects in a safe environment. (www.talkchi.com.au). Core topics include: Friendships, respect, sexuality, gender, hygiene, anatomy and physiology, changes in puberty - recognising/minimising harm, consent, sexual intercourse, conception, fetal development and birth, STIs and plenty of opportunities for questions. All topics are discussed with the school prior to the presentation. Two 90 minute sessions will be held on the same day. Monday 27.05.24 - 6M Wednesday 29.05.24 - 6K Thursday 30.05.24 - 6C If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your class teacher. 2024 Star Struck Dance It is with great pleasure that we have been accepted to participate at Star Struck "Love it". We congratulate your child on being successful in gaining a place in our dance team. This team will be participating in two items "I See the Light" and "Two Princes". All students will need to pay for a participation fee of $185.50. This cost includes: * Participation fee of $35.50 *A Star Struck Shirt $25.00 all students will be required to wear at some stage as part of the show. Your child has already been fitted as we were required to order and pay in advance. * Costume fee of $115.00 (two separate costumes) *Prop fee $10.00 The participation, t-shirt and costume fees are now payable to the school. As student assistance is not applicable to an extra curricular activity, please contact the school office if you would like to discuss a payment plan. Students also have the option of purchasing their own Star Struck Love It 2024 merchandise. These items are not compulsory. 2024 Year 5 Big Day Out

Glendale Technology High School

Year 5 Big Day Out is a fun filled day at Glendale Technology High School, participating in a variety of taster lessons to learn just what high school is all about. Transport and all meals are organised by the high school. Year 5 students will have the opportunity to meet Peer Support leaders and many teachers whilst familiarising themselves with the layout of the high school classrooms and grounds.
