Attendance

Students are required by law to attend school between the ages of six and eighteen.

It is the duty of the parent or guardian to ensure that this obligation is met. The school also has a legal obligation to monitor and record student attendance.

If your child is absent from school it is important to tell the school within seven days and provide a reason. To explain an absence you may send a written note, email, telephone or visit the school and speak to the office or your child's teacher.

Lateness or leaving early is recorded as a partial absence and must be explained in the same way as other forms of absence.

Children are required to be signed in and out at the school office.

Under no circumstances will students be permitted to leave the school grounds without the consent and approval of the principal.
